My pledges to you.

I asked you what matters most to you. That is why I made these pledges to you and remain steadfast on delivering on them.

We all know that how people use our high streets has changed. That is why one of my first actions as your Member of Parliament was to create a Wellingborough Town Centre Taskforce. The group brings together local businesses, the council, police and others to make Wellingborough Town Centre a more inviting place.

I am also pleased to see that the local council is taking part in the Governments High Street Rental Auctions to revitalise our High Streets.

Everyone wants to feel safe, That’s why I have been working to improve safety for residents in Wellingborough & Rushden. Alongside running a youth-group roundtable to reduce Anti-social behaviour.

I am also keen to work with local organisations such as Off The Streets NN, who I with invited to to parliament and have attended events with.

Healthcare is something that is important to us all in Wellingborough and Rushden, which is why I am passionate about ensuring that it works for each and every one of us. I’ve formed a regular roundtable with GPs, to not only raise constituents’ issues but also hear about what I can do to help them.

I have also spoken to the Integrated Care Board about better access to dentistry and blood tests in the area.

Since the election I have kept up the pressure on the local authority regarding potholes and the state of our roads. My two public letters to the former leader of the council demanded answers regarding their road maintenance contract.

My office also frequently reports problem roads and issues to the council.

My team regularly helps constituents with problems relating to their money, whether it is help with their pensions, welfare or consumer rights. Last year the team recouped over £17,000 for local residents.

Gen also works with many charities and local businesses to help them with any issues they have and advises on how to apply for grants to boost their business.

Representing you across the constituency.

I am keen to represent every single person in Wellingborough & Rushden. I enjoy attending local events as often as I can, including Remembrance Day, Bark in the Park, the many beautiful Christmas events or the Waendel Walk.

I also enjoy visiting business and charities across the constituency. I am always impressed by the innovative and exciting things that are happening right on our doorstep.

Some of my favorite visits are to our schools. It is great to see the great work both our students and our teachers are doing and I always enjoy speaking to young people of all ages.
