
Pride in Place – £20 Million for Queensway

In September 2025, it was announced that the Government would be giving £20 million to “left behind” areas throughout the country. These are areas that were deemed to be the most deprived. Queensway in Wellingborough was selected, with Avondale Grange in Kettering and Kingswood in Corby making up the three areas in Northamptonshire to receive the funding.
The aim of the project is to ensure that residents in Queensway can have a say in how to shape their community, North Northamptonshire Council will be convening a community board to work together to decide how the money should be spent. I have written to residents and have held a community drop-in session so that local people are involved at every stage.
