Wellingborough is a town that has faced a number of knife-related tragedies, but the community stepped up. Organisations like Off the Streets NN campaign to end knife crime and provide bleed kits around Northamptonshire. I wanted to ensure I supported them in anyway that I could, including inviting them down to Parliament to stress the importance of bleed kits throughout the country. My team and I have also attended several of their bleed kit first-aid sessions.

A rise in complaints about anti-social behaviour in Rushden led to me convening a Youth-Group Roundtable in Rushden with the aim of supporting young people to prevent them taking the wrong path. This group is made up of cross-party elected officials, various youth groups, members of the public and the police.
The main action from the Roundtable is for the creation of a youth safety strategy, a consultation for this has recently ended and the results will be posted once they have been analysed.
I will continue to work with our local community to help ensure they are safe.
